Non-fiction/Historical Fiction group
Posted by Monique Luetkemeyer on January 27, 2020 at 9:14 pmHello! I am looking for authors that write something OTHER than sci-fi to make an accountability ring. I am not yet interested in critique. I just want to have a place where we can keep each other accountable, and possibly later, see where it goes as far as a formal critique group. Anyone interested? Looking for pacing that would put out about a book in 6 months to a year.

Hi, Monique! I do not write sci-fi/fantasy, but I also don’t write historical fiction 🙁 (I am an avid historical fiction reader, though!)
I write romantic suspense, generally more in the spy-fi category, although this one is more of a small town Southern Gothic. I, too, am also looking for writers outside sci-fi/fantasy. At the moment I have a dedicated critique partner, so not necessarily looking for that, although when I finish in the next few weeks, I may want more eyes on it just to balance her out. Right now, accountability in and of itself would be great. Let me know!

That sounds great! What venue works best to keep in contact? FB messaging? Email? Another way? In the past I’ve kept up with my critique partner via FB messenger. But I’m open.

I write realistic fiction that often contains a historical element. My current WIP switches between modern-day and World War II-era Belgium. I am in a critique group but I’d like to have more contacts and accountability within the Apex forum.

Hi Kristin! I’m writing a book set in WWII right now too! We would love to have you. Right now we are working out of FB messenger and Google spreadsheets. I’ll go friend you on FB and add you. You can read through where we are and introduce yourself and your goals. Welcome!

Hey! We’re already friends. I’ll just add you to the chat.

Would love to join. Have written a 18th century YA novel, part I of a trilogy and would love to join this group, but not sure were I can join?
In august a romcom will be published under my own name Anja Janssen (Oli Veyn is my YA fantasy penname). Just let me know if I can join or have to take action somewhere.Kind regards,
Oli
