If you are on a budget, Fiverr is the place to go for indie book cover commissions in my opinion. If you even want just a preliminary cover for inspiration, Fiverr is great for that too. I got this cover for $22 (It would have been $10 but I wanted the source file and I left a hefty tip).

Could you please explain the process you went through with the artist to produce this?

    Thanks.

I would, like Lazarus, love to know your process for this. Thank you.

Fiver is a site where you can look for best deacribed “workers” to hire for a project. They give examples of stuff they have done in the past, and have a price for their packages. A lot of the “workers” are out of Pakistan and are very cheap. As such THEY ARE NOT DOING ORIGINAL WORK. They often Illegally (most of them don’t pay for it, thought I think some do) take a piece of art, graphic, and try to change it so that you can’t easily do a reverse image search. So be careful with that.

They generally send you the file and allow a revision or 2. You make changes till you are ready for the download.

You can find real artists there but you will have to generally pay a lot more (and for good reasons)

I have used fiver, it can be good for ideas, but be careful. You may end up wasting your money on people who just steal others work.
