Immortals have walked the Earth since ancient times. These strigoi are ruled by a government called the Arktois and live for a few hundred years at a time. When their time is up, they enter the strigoi death cycle, also known as the Return—a process of rapid aging that kills the strigoi in a matter of days. KEVIN KELLY has been working to find a cure; to make this happen, he and a shadow organization, Dóchas, kidnap strigoi to use in their experiments. Though progress is slow, they’ve managed to create a drug that triggers the Return. Now they just need to stop it. When Kelly learns of a strigoi named ALEX MAMSIN who carries a mutation that is the potential key he needs, he commits to finding him.

But Dervy and Alex soon come head-to-head with Kelly and his henchmen, who capture the two and take DNA samples from them to assist in their research. Months later, Kelly has a cure—but he also has Alex. He offers Dervy the Return drug if she lets him test the Cure on Alex. Death is exactly what she’s longed for, but at what cost?
Fallen Gods is an Urban Fantasy epic complete at 88,000 words. Fans of Marvel’s Jessica Jones Netflix series will appreciate Dervy’s similar spunk and barely-there tenacity, while readers of Chuck Wendig’s Zeroes will enjoy a similar writing style.
