Angry Robot
I mentioned this on FB, but it should go here.
Angry Robot is getting a bit of a reboot.
Their low- to mid-list (low selling) authors are getting the boot. They are keeping their better selling authors.
They are moving their business headquarters from Nottingham (UK) to London. I was told that most of the editors in Nottingham did not want to commute 2 hours nor transfer, so they lost a lot of those as well.
The bad part is authors lost their publisher. Editors lost their jobs.
The good part is some authors and editors have new opportunities for bigger and better :).
Publishers often go through ups and downs of one kind or another. It’s good to know when though so that if we are submitting a book to them, why they may be slow to respond, or something. 🙂
