Character Concepts
I like to draw my character concepts because I’m good at art and I like it, but not everyone has that luxury. When I don’t feel like drawing, I like to use a website called picrew. The website is in Japanese, so it can be a little weird and hard to navigate at first (you can translate the website to English but that slows it down). Still, I’ve found it incredibly useful for character designs. Picrew is a free avatar maker that various artists contribute to. Unfortunately, there is a lot of anime-style art (the website started in Japan so that’s a given) and is definitely more tailored to the younger generation. I still think it’s a good resource if you want something quick and easy to flesh out the basics of how your character looks. Especially if you have a female character.
