    There are a lot of steps in writing a spec screenplay. I’ve chronicled my progress this year with the #From our Dark Side competition winning pitch on my website at https://catscreenwriting.com/lights-camera-paranormal-action/

    I’m happy to discuss any of this. Previously,I sold tv scripts mostly (1 radio drama) and I am a WGC writer (Canada’s version of the WGA, West). I used to pitch an idea as a tv freelancer & write the script after that. Now, I’m doing a movie where the rules are different. The producers buy on script, not just on pitch. You use your pitch to get them to read the script!
