Fellow writers – I’m seeking a few Alpha Readers by the end of August for an epic dark gritty fantasy novel (think the prose style of Joe Abercrombie and World Building of Brandon Sanderson). By August, I’m planning to have completed two editing passes. I’m seeking a full read-through within a month. I would of course be willing to be your Alpha reader so we could do a book review “swap”. Please reach out if you are able to assist.
Related to this, it is unclear to me whether Apex has an Alpha Readers forum/group. There is a “Critique Group”, but is that a typical writing group sharing 1 chapter/week or does it also include Alpha Readers?
And related to this, does anyone have suggestions how to effectively communicate Alpha feedback? What I’m thinking is also to provide an excel google sheet marked by each chapter where the general Alpha feedback can be written. Edits in line inside the manuscript seems too detailed and not the purpose of Alpha feedback.
