“Currently, I work with contracts – negotiating them, writing them, analyzing them and helping clients understand them.
One part of my practice involves helping authors with the contracts they’re asked to sign with publishers. I’ve helped New York Times Bestsellers as well as authors who have received their first publishing contract.
One of the jobs I’m frequently retained for is to help authors negotiate modifications to unfair contracts they signed when they were inexperienced in understanding the terms of their publishing agreements and common ways of doing business of traditional publishers. I have also helped authors nullify or exit from unfair contracts they’ve signed
I have experience, including litigation experience, with a wide variety of contracts, including contracts with some of the largest companies in the world.
I draw on my litigation experience as I draft or redraft contracts because I’m sensitive to ways contracts can be attacked and the potential for misunderstanding or incorrect interpretations of poorly-written agreements in court.

Earlier in my career, I became a nationally-known expert on law office management with particular focus on effectively using computers for legal tasks through my writing and speaking.
